Upgrade moped class II to class I – Ekomoto J7

  • We reconnect your Ekomoto J7 from class II (25 km/h) to class I (45 km/h) in our workshop
  • Only RoboService does this, never you yourself
  • The vehicle is then registered as class I, you receive a number plate and change the insurance
  • A vehicle that has been registered as class I cannot be set back to class II

Upgrade from moped class II to class I

Do you have an Ekomoto J7 delivered as moped class II and want to drive at 45 km/h? Then we reconnect the vehicle in our workshop. It is the same car; what changes is the connection and the rules.

What is included

Reconnection of the class under the body and workshop time. You bring the vehicle to us and we set it up for class I.

What is not included

The registration fee, number plate, traffic insurance and any driving licence are paid by you.

Important to know before you order

  • A vehicle that has been registered as class I cannot be set back to class II. Decide before you go ahead.
  • The class may only be changed by RoboService. If you change it yourself, the vehicle no longer matches its certificate and registration, it is illegal and the insurance can become invalid.
  • As class I other rules apply: the vehicle must be registered and carry a number plate at the rear, you need traffic insurance and a driving licence with category AM or higher, and you may not drive on cycle paths, motorways or motor traffic roads.
  • The moped car is parked under the same rules as a passenger car – never on a footpath or cycle path.

How it works

Order the upgrade and contact us, and we will book the vehicle into the workshop. After the reconnection the vehicle must be registered as class I before it is driven on the road.

Applies to

Ekomoto J7. If you buy a J7 and know from the start that you want class I, choose class I when you order and no upgrade is needed.
