Measure cutting height the way the pros do
Turf quality on a green comes down to precision - and you can't manage what you can't measure accurately. The R&R Products Prism Gauge lets your greenkeeping team measure the true cutting height, surface smoothness and cut quality of a green in seconds, with an accuracy that a ruler or a bench setter simply cannot match.
Built for real course conditions
A solid glass prism sits in a stainless steel frame, magnifying the grass blades so you can read the cutting height directly against graduated scale lines - 1/8", 1/10" and 1/16" (0.002" increments) plus 1 mm intervals, covering grass heights up to 1-5/8" (40 mm). Both imperial and metric scales are printed on the same gauge, so it works whichever units your crew is used to. A protective carrying case is included.

Frequently asked questions
Does it work on any type of mower?
Yes. It measures the grass and the cut surface itself, not the mower - so it's equally useful for verifying rotary mowers, reel/cylinder mowers or robotic mowers such as our own FJDynamics RM21P and RCM01.
Do I need a bench setter as well?
A prism gauge measures the result on the actual turf. A bench setter or a digital height gauge is used separately, on the workshop bench, to set the reel-to-bedknife clearance on a cylinder mower before it goes out to cut. The two tools solve different problems.
Is it in stock?
This item is sourced through our partner Krima Trading AB (R&R Products' Swedish distributor) and typically ships within about 2 weeks of order.
Can RoboService help interpret the readings?
Yes - if you're unsure whether your current cutting height matches your target, our service team can help you read and act on the numbers, whether the mower is one of ours or not.
