Collect, return, unload — without an operator
Collects across the range. FJDynamics specifies up to 3,000 balls an hour and up to 63,000 balls a day over 21 operating hours, with a 900 mm picking width.
Returns when the basket is full. The robot detects a full basket and drives itself back to the unloading area, which is what removes the manual handling from the job.
Unloads automatically. Collected balls are emptied at the unloading station and the robot goes straight back out, so the workflow keeps moving with far less operator intervention.
The unloading ramp
The ramp stands on existing hardstanding. The robot drives up, empties the basket and returns to the range. A ramp for the RM21 + BP02 becomes available from next season — as a separate cost, not as part of the kit.

Mapping and safe autonomy
With the FJD P2 LiDAR scanner you create an editable 3D map of the range in minutes, then use it to set zones, account for slopes and plan the daily work.
A scan with the P2 becomes the map the robot works from.
The RM21 combines RTK positioning with LiDAR perception for reliable operation around trees and other awkward corners of a range. A 360° LiDAR and physical bumpers handle obstacle detection, and once slope data is uploaded the robot recognises sloped areas and adjusts its speed accordingly.

One platform, two daily jobs
This is the argument that usually decides it. A dedicated ball picker is a second machine to own, learn and service — and it stands still whenever the range is closed. The RM21 with BP02 is one system: one robot, one app, one RTK account, one service agreement. The hours it is not picking balls it is mowing rough, semi-rough or the sports fields next door.

Does the RM21 still mow with the BP02 fitted?
Yes — that is the point of the kit. The platform keeps its mowing capability, but it does one job at a time: it mows or it picks.
Is the unloading ramp included?
No. A ramp for the RM21 + BP02 becomes available from next season, but it is an added cost rather than part of the kit. Tell us where it would stand and we will price the whole solution.
How many balls does it handle in a day?
FJDynamics specifies up to 3,000 balls an hour and up to 63,000 balls a day based on 21 operating hours. The basket holds 1,000 balls and the robot empties it itself.
What is the difference between BP01 and BP02?
The BP01 is a mountable collector that you empty by hand. The BP02 collects and unloads automatically, which is what makes unattended operation possible.
Do we need RTK?
Yes. The RM21 positions itself with RTK, and we deliver NTRIP accounts and run our own RTK network — so this is familiar ground rather than a separate project.
